Mind Rot is a debilitating status card that causes you to draw 1 fewer card each turn. In a game where card draw is one of the most valuable resources, losing even a single draw per turn can severely hamper your ability to find the right cards at the right time. This persistent reduction compounds over the course of a fight, as each turn you have fewer options to work with.

Mind Rot is especially punishing for decks that depend on drawing through their entire deck quickly or assembling specific card combinations. Drawing 4 cards instead of 5 means key cards stay buried longer, defensive options may not show up when you need them, and your overall tempo suffers. Against aggressive enemies, this lost draw can translate directly into lost health.

Dealing with Mind Rot requires exhaust effects, status removal cards, or any mechanic that can purge it from your deck. Cards that provide extra draw can partially offset the penalty, but removing Mind Rot entirely is always the better solution. Prioritize picking up status-clearing tools when you anticipate facing enemies that inflict this card.
