Veilpiercer is an uncommon Necrobinder attack costing 1 Energy that deals 10 damage and makes the next Ethereal card you play cost 0 Energy. This discount effect bridges offense and Ethereal synergy, letting you chain an expensive Ethereal card for free after a solid damage play.

Veilpiercer enables free plays of Demesne, Enfeebling Touch, and Lethality, all of which are Ethereal. Spirit of Ash triggers Block when those free Ethereal cards are played, and Pagestorm draws extra cards. Pull from Below's damage scales with Ethereal plays that Veilpiercer facilitates.

In the Necrobinder Souls archetype, Veilpiercer serves as a tempo accelerator that makes Ethereal-heavy turns more Energy-efficient. Against aggressive bosses like Vantom and Kin Priest where every Energy point matters, the free Ethereal play can be the difference between setting up your board and falling behind. The 10 damage also provides meaningful chip damage alongside the utility.
