Enemy
Seapunk
normal
The Seapunk is a bizarre aquatic creature lurking in the waterlogged passages of the Underdocks in Act 1b. Part fish, part sea urchin, and wholly hostile, the Seapunk bristles with colorful spines and bioluminescent markings that pulse in rhythm with the murky currents. Its punk-rock aesthetic belies a dangerous combatant that uses the unique properties of its aquatic environment to its advantage.
In combat, the Seapunk attacks with spine projectiles and pressurized water blasts. It can fire volleys of sharp quills that deal multi-hit damage, and its water-based attacks may apply debuffs like Weak or add status cards to the player's deck. The Seapunk can also puff up defensively, gaining Block and making itself harder to damage while preparing its next barrage of spine attacks.
To handle the Seapunk effectively, focus on dealing damage during the turns it puffs up defensively rather than wasting attacks against its Block. Multi-hit attacks can be strong against it if timed correctly. Maintain consistent Block against its spine volleys, which can chip away at your health quickly. If it applies status cards, plan ahead for deck cleanup in future encounters to prevent long-term disruption to your draws.
