Sozu is a Boss relic in Slay the Spire 2 that grants 1 additional Energy at the start of each turn, but completely prevents you from obtaining any new Potions for the rest of the run. The extra Energy is a powerful benefit that lets you play one more card per turn, but the loss of Potions is a steep price that removes a critical resource.

Potions are among the most flexible and impactful resources in Slay the Spire 2. They can save you from lethal damage, burst down a dangerous enemy, or provide temporary buffs that swing a fight in your favor. Losing access to all future Potions means you lose these emergency tools, making difficult fights and boss encounters significantly harder to navigate.

Sozu is most viable when you already have a strong, self-sufficient deck that does not rely on Potions to handle tough encounters. If your potion slots are empty and your deck already has good answers to most threats, the extra Energy can be worth the tradeoff. However, if you have Toy Ornithopter or White Beast Statue, taking Sozu creates a painful anti-synergy. Consider this relic carefully and only take it when your deck's power level is high enough to forgo Potions entirely.
