Delay is an uncommon Necrobinder skill costing 2 Energy that gains 11 Block immediately and grants bonus Energy next turn. This front-loaded defense with delayed Energy payback lets you survive the current turn while setting up a powerful next turn with extra resources.

Delay's delayed Energy enables expensive plays next turn like End of Days, Reaper Form, or Demesne. Death's Door provides additional Block alongside Delay's 11, and Melancholy offers supplemental defense. Borrowed Time can stack with Delay's future Energy for an exceptionally resource-rich turn.

In any Necrobinder archetype, Delay provides meaningful Block while investing in future tempo. Against bosses with predictable attack patterns like Ceremonial Beast and Soul Fysh, playing Delay on a defense turn sets up an explosive offense turn with extra Energy. The 2-Energy cost is significant, but the 11 Block plus future Energy makes it Energy-positive overall.
