Sculpting Strike is a common Necrobinder attack costing 1 Energy that deals 8 damage and adds the Ethereal keyword to a card in your Hand. This dual-purpose card provides solid damage while converting a hand card into an Ethereal card, fueling the Necrobinder's extensive Ethereal synergies.

Sculpting Strike feeds Pull from Below's Ethereal play counter and Spirit of Ash's Block-on-Ethereal triggers. Pagestorm draws extra cards when Ethereal cards are drawn, and Banshee's Cry's cost decreases with each Ethereal card played. The targeted card gains Ethereal, meaning it Exhausts if unplayed, so choose carefully.

In the Necrobinder Souls archetype, Sculpting Strike bridges attack damage with Ethereal buildup. Against any boss, it provides a consistent 8-damage play while advancing your Ethereal count for Pull from Below and Banshee's Cry. Adding Ethereal to a card you plan to play anyway has no downside, making Sculpting Strike excellent for building Ethereal synergy without sacrificing tempo.
