Thunderclap

Thunderclap is a 1-cost Common Attack card for the Ironclad that deals 4 damage to ALL enemies and applies 1 Vulnerable to each. The AoE damage plus Vulnerable makes it a versatile early card that both damages and sets up future turns.

Thunderclap's AoE Vulnerable sets up Dominate for Strength gain across all enemies. Follow with Breakthrough, Whirlwind, or Immolate for amplified AoE damage. Stampede benefits from the Vulnerable on the primary target. Bully and Vicious deal bonus damage against the Vulnerable targets. In multi-enemy fights, Taunt provides stronger Vulnerable while Thunderclap adds damage. Molten Fist doubles the Vulnerable from 1 to 2 on a single target.

Thunderclap is one of the Ironclad's most efficient Common cards for multi-enemy encounters. Pick it early for AoE coverage and Vulnerable application. Against Test Subject #C10, the AoE damage and Vulnerable help control summoned enemies. The 1 Vulnerable is less than Bash or Tremble but the AoE application compensates. It becomes less impactful in late-game single-target boss fights but remains useful throughout the Ironclad's run.
