Fuzzy Wurm Crawler

normal

The Fuzzy Wurm Crawler is a segmented, caterpillar-like creature covered in coarse, bristly fur that inches its way through the tangled undergrowth of the Overgrowth in Act 1a. Its appearance is both unsettling and oddly endearing, with multiple beady eyes peering out from beneath its fuzzy exterior. Despite its slow, crawling movement, it can lash out with surprising speed when threatened.

In battle, the Fuzzy Wurm Crawler uses a mix of biting attacks and defensive curling maneuvers. It can coil its segmented body to gain Block, then strike back with a lunging bite on subsequent turns. The Crawler may also apply status effects like Frail to weaken the player's defenses, making its follow-up attacks more threatening than they initially appear.

To defeat the Fuzzy Wurm Crawler efficiently, focus on dealing damage during the turns it prepares its defensive curl rather than waiting for it to uncoil. Area-of-effect damage is useful if it appears alongside other Overgrowth enemies. Keep your Block consistent to handle its bite attacks, and avoid letting the fight stall, as its damage can accumulate over longer encounters.
