Massive Scroll

Massive Scroll is a Boss relic in Slay the Spire 2 that grants Colorless Energy at the start of each turn but shuffles 3 Dazed status cards into your Draw Pile at the start of each combat. This is a classic risk-reward Boss relic that offers powerful Energy at the cost of deck pollution.

The additional Colorless Energy each turn is a potent benefit that lets you play more cards and execute more powerful turns. However, the 3 Dazed cards shuffled into your deck dilute your draws, and since Dazed is Ethereal and unplayable, drawing one effectively means you have one fewer useful card that turn. Over the course of a fight, these dead draws can significantly hamper your deck's consistency.

Massive Scroll is strongest in decks with strong draw engines that can draw through the Dazed cards without losing too much tempo, or in decks with Exhaust effects that can remove the Dazed cards from play permanently. It synergizes with Blue Candle, Medical Kit, and other effects that let you interact with status cards. The relic is dangerous in small, tightly tuned decks where every draw matters. For decks that can handle some dead draws, the extra Energy more than compensates for the Dazed cards.
