Cinder is a 1-cost Common Attack card for the Ironclad that deals 17 damage and Exhausts the top card of your Draw Pile. The high damage for a Common card comes at the cost of losing a card from your deck, which can be beneficial or harmful depending on what gets Exhausted.
Cinder's top-of-deck Exhaust triggers Dark Embrace and Feel No Pain, and feeds the Exhaust pile for Ashen Strike. Headbutt lets you place a specific card on top to control what Cinder Exhausts. The Exhaust trigger enables Cascade's double damage, Evil Eye's bonus Block, and Forgotten Ritual's energy gain on the same turn. In a deck with Drum of Battle, you can manage which cards get Exhausted through careful ordering.
Cinder is a solid Common Attack for the Ironclad that provides good damage with an Exhaust trigger baked in. Pick it in Exhaust decks where the top-of-deck Exhaust is a bonus, or in decks with excess cards you want to thin. Against aggressive enemies where 17 damage for 1 energy helps end the fight quickly, Cinder is excellent. Be cautious in small decks where you might Exhaust critical cards. The Ironclad's high damage ceiling makes Cinder a reliable workhorse.
