This opening Poison provides free damage over time that begins ticking immediately, giving Poison-based strategies a head start and providing chip damage even in non-Poison builds.

Four Poison on all enemies is a meaningful amount that deals damage each turn and grows more impactful in multi-enemy encounters. Against a fight with 3 enemies, Twisted Funnel applies 12 total Poison across the board for free, accelerating kill times without any card investment. The AOE application makes it especially valuable in hallway fights with multiple foes.

Twisted Funnel is a natural fit for Poison-focused builds, particularly the Silent's Poison strategy. It synergizes with Snecko Skull, which adds extra Poison to every application, and with Catalyst, which multiplies existing Poison stacks. Even in non-Poison decks, the free 4 Poison provides supplemental damage that helps finish off enemies slightly faster.
