Armaments is a 1-cost Common Skill card for the Ironclad that grants 5 Block and lets you Upgrade a card in your hand for the rest of combat. The Upgrade enhances a card's effects permanently within the current fight, making Armaments a unique utility card that improves your deck in real time.

Armaments is best when upgrading high-impact cards like Demon Form, Impervious, or Bash mid-combat. The 5 Block provides basic defense while you invest in future turns. Pair with Shrug It Off to maintain defense while upgrading, and Offering for the card draw to ensure good Upgrade targets. In a Barricade deck, upgrading Body Slam or Barricade itself provides lasting value. Battle Trance draws cards to give more Upgrade options.

Armaments is a solid early pickup for the Ironclad that scales well by upgrading your best cards in combat. Pick it when your deck has cards that benefit significantly from upgrades. Against long fights like Kaiser Crab, the ability to upgrade key cards during combat provides compounding value. It is less impactful in short fights where the 5 Block is all you get.
