Demon Form

Demon Form is a 3-cost Rare Power card for the Ironclad that grants 2 Strength at the start of each turn for the rest of combat. This persistent scaling means that by turn 3 after playing it, you have gained 6 Strength, making every Attack in your deck significantly more lethal. The high energy cost means you essentially sacrifice an entire turn to set up exponential damage growth.

Demon Form pairs excellently with Inflame for immediate Strength while the passive scaling ramps up, and Colossus can serve as an alternative large Strength burst if drawn first. Multi-hit cards like Twin Strike, Sword Boomerang, and Whirlwind become devastating once the Strength stacks accumulate. In an Exhaust-heavy deck with Dark Embrace and Feel No Pain, the extra card draw ensures you find and play Demon Form early, then capitalize on the Strength with a steady stream of Attacks.

Demon Form is the Ironclad's premier long-fight win condition. Pick it when your deck can stall with Block cards like Shrug It Off, Flame Barrier, and Impervious. Against Kaiser Crab, whose massive Block stacks can stall out weaker builds, Demon Form's persistent Strength scaling eventually lets you punch through any defense. It struggles against The Insatiable and other aggressive bosses where you cannot afford to spend 3 energy doing no immediate damage. Barricade decks love Demon Form as a secondary win condition alongside Body Slam.
