Backstab is a 0-cost uncommon Attack card for the Silent with Innate, meaning it always appears in your opening hand. It deals 11 damage and Exhausts after being played. The guaranteed opening hand presence and zero cost make it a powerful first-turn play for free burst damage.

Backstab pairs well with Finisher, as it counts as an Attack played on the first turn, boosting Finisher's damage. Follow Through draws a card when Backstab is among Attacks played. Accuracy does not affect Backstab since it is not a Shiv, but it can be played alongside Shivs for a strong opening. Well-Laid Plans is unnecessary since Backstab's Innate guarantees it appears when needed.

Silent players should pick Backstab for reliable early-fight burst damage that helps clear Act 1 enemies quickly, including Kin Priest and Vantom. The Exhaust means it only contributes once per fight, making it weaker in long boss fights against Knowledge Demon and Doormaker. It is a strong pickup in early acts that may be removed later in favor of sustained damage options.
