Expertise

Expertise is a 1-cost uncommon Skill card for the Silent that draws cards until you have 6 cards in hand. The number of cards drawn depends on how many you currently hold, making it most powerful when your hand is nearly empty. After playing several cards, Expertise refills your hand cheaply.

Expertise pairs with Storm of Steel, which empties your hand into Shivs, allowing Expertise to draw a full 6 cards afterward. Calculated Gamble refreshes your hand, and Expertise can top it off if you had a small hand. Acrobatics and Prepared reduce hand size through discard, making Expertise draw more. Well-Laid Plans benefits from the large hand by giving you more Retain options.

Silent players should pick Expertise in decks that frequently empty their hand through playing many cheap cards or discarding. It is particularly strong in Shiv builds where you dump Shivs quickly and need to refill. The card is less effective when your hand stays full, so evaluate your deck's play patterns before picking it.
