Calculated Gamble

Calculated Gamble is a 0-cost uncommon Skill card for the Silent that discards your entire hand and draws that many cards. At zero cost, it provides a complete hand refresh for free, letting you cycle past unwanted cards to find key pieces. The number of cards drawn equals the number discarded, so your hand size stays the same.

Calculated Gamble synergizes powerfully with Reflex and Tactician, which trigger when discarded to provide free card draw and energy respectively. Sneaky deals damage for each card discarded. Tools of the Trade helps set up the hand before the gamble. Acrobatics and Prepared can be played first to draw extra cards, increasing the hand size before Calculated Gamble refreshes everything.

Silent players should pick Calculated Gamble in discard-focused builds with Reflex and Tactician, where it becomes an absurdly efficient hand-cycling tool. It is effective in any fight where you need specific cards quickly, like boss fights against Ceremonial Beast and The Insatiable. Without discard triggers, the card is still useful for cycling but less impactful.
