Capacitor is an uncommon Defect Power costing 1 Energy that permanently grants 2 additional Orb Slots. More Orb Slots means more Orbs channeled simultaneously, increasing passive effects, strengthening Barrage, improving Compile's conditional bonus, and providing more Evoke options. This foundational Power enhances virtually every Orb-based strategy.

Capacitor directly buffs Barrage, which deals damage per channeled Orb, and enables Compile to consistently reach its 3-Orb threshold for doubled Block. Loop triggers one Orb passive per turn, which becomes more impactful when you have options. Fission converts more Orbs into Energy and cards with increased Orb Slots.

For the Defect, Capacitor is a high-priority Power in any Orb-centric deck. Against bosses like Kaiser Crab and Test Subject #C10, extra Orb Slots allow you to accumulate Frost for massive Block walls and Dark Orbs for charged finishers simultaneously. Against Ceremonial Beast, more Lightning Orbs mean more AoE passive damage. Pick Capacitor whenever your strategy involves channeling Orbs, which is nearly every Defect build.
