Surge Protector is a rare Defect Power costing 2 Energy that grants 3 Block every time you Evoke an Orb. In Orb-heavy builds that frequently cycle through Orbs via Evoke, Surge Protector generates enormous cumulative Block, transforming your offensive Orb cycling into a passive defensive engine.

Surge Protector synergizes powerfully with Fission, which Evokes ALL Orbs at once for a massive Block burst. Multi-Cast and Quadcast Evoke the same Orb multiple times, triggering Surge Protector each time. Dualcast provides a quick double Evoke, and Capacitor adds Orb Slots so you cycle through more Orbs overall.

For the Defect, Surge Protector provides consistent defensive value in any build that generates and cycles Orbs. Against bosses like The Insatiable where sustained Block is essential, the passive Block generation compounds over many turns.
