Fortifier grants a burst of temporary Block, serving as a defensive emergency button when you need to survive a critical turn. Unlike permanent Block sources, this potion provides immediate mitigation without spending energy, making it ideal for turns where you need both offense and defense simultaneously.

Save Fortifier for high-damage turns from bosses like Lagavulin Matriarch or Ceremonial Beast, where a single unblocked hit can end your run. It is also valuable against Kaiser Crab when you need to weather its armored assault phase while setting up your own scaling.

Ironclad benefits greatly from Fortifier when running Barricade, as the Block carries over between turns and compounds with further Block generation. Pairs well with Offering to offset the HP cost while still defending. The Defect can combine it with Buffer to create multiple layers of protection. Toy Ornithopter provides additional healing value whenever you use this potion, and Sacred Bark doubles its Block output for massive single-turn defense.
