Blood Wall is a 1-cost Common Skill card for the Ironclad that causes you to lose 2 HP and gain 16 Block. The HP cost makes this one of the most Block-efficient cards in the game at 16 Block for 1 energy, embodying the Ironclad's theme of trading health for power.

Blood Wall triggers Rupture for Strength gain and Crimson Mantle for both Strength and Block. Inferno deals 6 damage to ALL enemies whenever you lose HP, turning Blood Wall into both defense and offense. In a Barricade deck, the 16 Block persists for Body Slam. The Ironclad's Burning Blood relic provides passive healing to offset the HP cost. Spite gains damage based on total HP lost, making Blood Wall contribute to its scaling.

Blood Wall is a cornerstone of the Ironclad's self-damage archetype and an excellent Block card in general. Pick it when you have Rupture or Crimson Mantle to convert the HP loss into Strength. Against Lagavulin Matriarch, the efficient Block helps survive while Rupture generates Strength. Even without self-damage synergy, 16 Block for 1 energy and 2 HP is an excellent trade. It is one of the best Common cards available to the Ironclad.
