Crimson Mantle is a 2-cost Rare Power card for the Ironclad that grants 1 Strength and 3 Block whenever you lose HP for the rest of combat. This dual reward transforms every HP loss into both offensive and defensive gain, making it the ultimate self-damage payoff card.

Crimson Mantle stacks with Rupture for 2 Strength per HP loss event. Brutality triggers it every turn for free Strength and Block. Offering, Hemokinesis, Bloodletting, Blood Wall, and Breakthrough all trigger it. Inferno creates a chain reaction where losing HP deals damage and triggers Crimson Mantle's Strength and Block. The Ironclad's self-damage cards become significantly more efficient with Crimson Mantle active.

Crimson Mantle is a build-defining card for the Ironclad's self-damage archetype. Pick it when you have 3 or more self-damage cards to trigger it reliably. Against Doormaker, the sustained Strength and Block generation helps handle the multi-phase fight. It is weak without self-damage triggers, providing no value on its own.
