Bloodletting

Bloodletting is a 0-cost Common Skill card for the Ironclad that causes you to lose 3 HP and gain 2 energy. This is a free energy accelerant that lets you play additional cards in a turn, trading HP for tempo in the Ironclad's signature style.

Bloodletting triggers Rupture for Strength, Crimson Mantle for Strength and Block, and Inferno for AoE damage. The 2 energy gained lets you play expensive cards like Demon Form or Colossus alongside your normal turn. Pair with Offering for a total of 4 bonus energy in one turn. The Ironclad's Burning Blood relic heals between fights to offset the HP cost. Feed can recover the lost HP by killing enemies with its bonus.

Bloodletting is an excellent energy card for the Ironclad. Pick it in self-damage builds for the synergies, or in any deck that needs energy acceleration. Against Knowledge Demon, where ending the fight quickly matters, the extra energy enables explosive turns. The 3 HP cost is meaningful in long runs but usually worth the tempo gain. It is one of the best Common cards for aggressive Ironclad strategies and self-damage builds alike.
