Colossus

Colossus is a 3-cost Rare Power card for the Ironclad that grants a massive 5 Strength in a single play. This is the largest single-card Strength boost available, immediately transforming every Attack in your deck into a serious threat. The steep 3-energy cost means playing it requires careful timing, typically during a turn where the enemy is not attacking.

Colossus works exceptionally well with Offering, which provides the extra energy and card draw needed to play it without losing tempo. Follow it up with Bludgeon or Hellraiser for devastating single-target damage, or Whirlwind to obliterate entire enemy groups. In builds with Feel No Pain and Dark Embrace, you can stall long enough to afford the investment. Demon Form and Inflame can stack alongside Colossus for absurd Strength totals.

Pick Colossus when your Ironclad deck has energy generation through cards like Bloodletting or Offering, or when you have strong Block to survive the tempo loss. It excels against bosses like Ceremonial Beast and Soul Fysh where burst damage in a key turn can end the fight quickly. Avoid picking it if your deck is already energy-starved. In Strength-scaling builds, Colossus serves as the explosive opener that Demon Form backs up with sustained growth.
