Card

Blur

Gain 5 Block. Block is not removed at the start of your next turn.

Blur is a 1-cost uncommon Skill card for the Silent that gains 5 Block and prevents Block from being removed at the start of the next turn. This Block retention effect means any Block you have at the end of your turn carries over, allowing you to accumulate massive Block totals over multiple turns. It fundamentally changes how defense works for the turn it is played.

Blur synergizes powerfully with Footwork, which boosts the Block gained from Blur and every other Block card played that turn. Dodge and Roll's next-turn Block stacks with retained Block for impressive totals. Backflip provides Block and card draw, and its Block persists thanks to Blur. Wraith Form's Intangible combined with retained Block creates near-invulnerability for critical turns.

Silent players should pick Blur in Block-focused builds, especially when they already have Footwork for Dexterity scaling. It is exceptional against bosses with predictable large attacks like Lagavulin Matriarch and Kaiser Crab, where saving Block for the big hit is crucial. The card is less necessary in fast aggressive decks that aim to kill enemies before defense matters.
