Flanking is a 1-cost Uncommon Attack card for the Ironclad that deals 6 damage to an enemy, then deals 6 damage to a different random enemy. In multi-enemy fights, this spreads 12 total damage across 2 targets for efficient crowd control.
Flanking benefits from Strength through Inflame and Demon Form, as both hits gain the bonus. Taunt applies Vulnerable to ALL enemies, amplifying both of Flanking's hits. In multi-enemy fights, Flanking plus Whirlwind and Breakthrough provide layered AoE coverage. Thunderclap adds Vulnerable to all targets, boosting Flanking's damage further. Rage generates Block from the Attack play.
Flanking is a multi-enemy specialist for the Ironclad. Pick it when the upcoming encounters feature groups of enemies. Against Test Subject #C10, spreading damage to summoned enemies while hitting the boss is valuable. In single-enemy fights, only the first hit connects, making it less efficient. The Ironclad has many AoE options, and Flanking provides targeted two-enemy coverage. It helps clear hallway fights efficiently.
