Grapple is a 1-cost Uncommon Attack card for the Ironclad that deals 7 damage and deals an additional 5 damage whenever you gain Block this turn. This rewards playing Block cards after Grapple, creating damage from defensive plays.
Grapple synergizes with every Block card in the Ironclad's arsenal. Shrug It Off, Iron Wave, Flame Barrier, and True Grit all trigger the bonus damage. Juggernaut creates a loop where gaining Block deals damage from both Juggernaut and Grapple. Rage generates Block per Attack, triggering Grapple's bonus. In a Barricade deck with many Block cards, Grapple can deal 20 or more total damage in a single turn. Feel No Pain triggers the bonus when Exhausting cards.
Grapple is a strong pickup for Block-heavy Ironclad decks. It converts defensive plays into additional damage, complementing the Ironclad's ability to both block and attack in the same turn. Against Ceremonial Beast, dealing damage through Block plays lets you maintain defense while killing. Pick it when your deck has 4 or more Block cards to trigger it reliably. It bridges offensive and defensive strategies effectively.
