Meteor Strike is a rare Defect attack with a steep 5 Energy cost that deals 24 damage and channels 3 Plasma Orbs. The Plasma Orbs each provide 1 Energy passively per turn and 2 Energy on Evoke, meaning Meteor Strike partially pays for itself over subsequent turns. The massive Energy requirement makes it a build-around card.

Meteor Strike requires Energy support from TURBO, Double Energy, or Fusion to cast. Once played, the 3 Plasma Orbs synergize with Dualcast for a burst of 4 Energy and with Multi-Cast for even more. Barrage deals 5 damage per Orb, and the Plasma from Meteor Strike fills 3 Orb Slots for massive Barrage hits.

For the Defect, Meteor Strike is the ultimate payoff card for Energy-generation builds. Against bosses like Lagavulin Matriarch and Knowledge Demon, landing Meteor Strike early can snowball the fight through Plasma Energy. Against Kaiser Crab, the sustained Plasma income fuels expensive plays every turn. This card defines a deck archetype: if you pick Meteor Strike, prioritize Energy generation and ways to reliably reach 5 Energy.
