Seek

Seek is a rare Defect skill costing 0 Energy that lets you choose any card from your draw pile and put it directly into your hand before Exhausting itself. This tutoring effect is one of the most powerful abilities in any card game, as it guarantees you find exactly the card you need at the exact moment you need it.

Seek enables any combo by finding the missing piece. Use it to grab Meteor Strike when you have the Energy, or Defragment when you need Focus, or All for One when your discard is full of 0-cost cards. Hologram can retrieve Seek from discard for a second use, and Reboot reshuffles your deck to give Seek access to cards that were previously in your discard.

For the Defect, Seek is one of the most universally powerful cards available. Against every boss from Lagavulin Matriarch to The Insatiable, finding exactly the right card at the right time wins fights. At 0 cost, Seek never competes for Energy and the Exhaust is negligible since you only need to use it once. Always pick Seek when offered, regardless of your Defect build archetype.
