Haze is a 1-cost uncommon Skill card for the Silent that gains 10 Block, but can only be played if you currently have 0 Block. The restriction means you cannot layer it on top of existing Block, but the 10 Block for just 1 energy is an outstanding rate when the condition is met. It is best played at the start of a turn before other Block cards.

Haze pairs with Footwork, which adds Dexterity to the 10 Block for even greater value. Playing Haze first, then Blur, retains the large Block into the next turn. Backflip can follow Haze to add more Block on top and draw cards. Dodge and Roll provides next-turn Block that does not interfere with Haze's zero-Block condition if played on alternating turns.

Silent players should pick Haze in Block-focused builds where they can reliably play it at the start of turns. It excels against bosses with large single attacks like Kaiser Crab and Lagavulin Matriarch where you need big Block in a single turn. The condition makes it awkward with Blur's Block retention, so plan your turn order carefully.
