Ashwater

Ashwater applies a persistent damage-over-time effect to enemies, dealing damage at the start of each enemy turn without requiring further card plays. This passive damage source chips away at enemy HP while you focus your energy and cards on defense or other priorities.

Ashwater is excellent in long fights against Kin Priest and Soul Fysh, where the cumulative passive damage adds up significantly over many turns. It is also effective against Ceremonial Beast, where being able to deal damage without committing attack cards frees you to focus on blocking its powerful strikes.

Silent pairs Ashwater with Noxious Fumes for layered passive damage that requires no further card investment. Envenom adds Poison on attacks to compound the damage-over-time theme. Ironclad can use Ashwater alongside Brutality for a pain-based strategy. Necrobinder benefits from the passive damage while focusing on Banshee's Cry and summoning. Sacred Bark doubles the damage-over-time effect, and Toy Ornithopter heals on use. Cracked Core complements the Defect's passive damage through orbs alongside Ashwater.
